Christian Baudanza – Di Tacchio

Founder and Club Director

Christian is the Founder of Tifosi Futsal Club, where he leads the club's vision of building a true futsal-first environment dedicated to developing intelligent, creative, and confident young players. Having played both football and futsal since the age of four, Christian's passion for the small-sided game has shaped not only his playing journey but also his coaching philosophy and who he is as a person today.

Originally beginning his playing career as a goalkeeper before spending several years as a centre-back, Christian eventually returned to the position he loved most. His experiences in both football and futsal provided him with a unique understanding of how the two sports complement one another while remaining fundamentally different games that deserve to be taught independently.

Today, Christian is a UEFA C Licensed and Futsal Certified Coach and holds multiple coaching qualifications in futsal, football, and goalkeeping. His education has taken him across several countries, learning from respected coaching methodologies including the Buffon Academy in Italy, the Berlin Football Association in Germany, and internationally recognized futsal development programs. This diverse background has allowed him to blend European coaching principles with a modern Canadian approach to player development, always placing the individual player at the center of the learning process.

Christian firmly believes that futsal should never be viewed simply as “indoor football”. Instead, he sees it as its own unique sport with its own culture, tactical principles, technical demands, and developmental pathway. At Tifosi Futsal Club, players are taught to understand and appreciate futsal on its own merits, learning the specific movements, rotations, decision-making, and creativity that make the game one of the world's greatest player development tools.

His coaching philosophy is built upon one simple principle: passion for the game comes before everything else.

Christian strives to create an environment where every player enjoys coming to training, feels valued regardless of ability, and is encouraged to play without fear of making mistakes. Rather than coaching solely for results, he focuses on developing players who love the game, think independently, solve problems under pressure, and continually challenge themselves to improve.

He believes that winning is a by-product of excellent development—not the objective.
Through carefully designed training sessions, players are constantly exposed to situations requiring quick thinking, rapid decision-making, technical precision, and intelligent movement. These are the qualities that make futsal one of the most effective development environments in world football and the foundation of Tifosi Futsal Club's curriculum.

Christian also believes that great coaching extends far beyond developing better athletes. Every session is designed to build confidence, resilience, leadership, communication, accountability, and respect. His goal is to help develop well-rounded young people who possess the character and mindset to succeed not only on the futsal court and football pitch, but throughout every aspect of life.

For Christian, futsal is more than a sport—it is a lifelong teacher.

At Tifosi Futsal Club, his mission is to help grow the game of futsal in Ontario while inspiring the next generation of players to Play. Believe. Belong. Through a player-first approach, a commitment to long-term development, and an unwavering passion for the game, Christian aims to provide every child with an environment where they can develop their full potential and discover a lifelong love for futsal.

Cara Jelinek

Head Coach

Cara Jelinek brings more than 20 years of coaching experience to Tifosi Futsal Club, working with both boys and girls from grassroots through competitive iModel levels. A Canada Soccer C Licence holder, Cara combines extensive coaching experience with a lifelong passion for the game.

Cara began playing soccer at just five years old on her local boys’ team before progressing to women’s representative soccer in high school and continuing to play throughout university. Her love for the sport remains as strong as ever, as she continues to play in women’s and co-ed recreational leagues today.

At the heart of Cara’s coaching philosophy is a commitment to helping young players develop confidence, creativity and a genuine love for playing. She creates an environment where players are encouraged to take risks, make decisions and express themselves individually while learning how to contribute effectively as part of a team. At the same time, she emphasizes discipline, responsibility and respect for teammates, opponents and the game.

Cara’s approach strongly aligns with Tifosi’s player-first, futsal-first development philosophy. Futsal challenges players to think quickly, solve problems and make decisions under pressure, and Cara believes young players need the freedom and confidence to explore those challenges without being afraid to make mistakes.
Her passion for youth development extends beyond creating better players. Cara sees sport as an opportunity to develop confident, resilient and respectful young people—making her a natural fit for Tifosi Futsal Club and our philosophy of
Play. Believe. Belong.
